Loose Change
A box full of change has been magically transformed into a $27 Amazon gift card. Thanks, Coinstar. This should help me pick up a few odds and ends I still need before I leave.
By the way, have you ever used a Coinstar? This was my first time, and my takeaway from the whole thing is this: Coinstar machines are fucking loud. It sounds like your change is being shot through a paper shredder. Sorry dude on the phone next to me trying to rent a movie from the Redbox machine. I’m sure the party on the other end didn’t appreciate the trash-compactoresque background noise.
Now I have an empty white box. I think it was originally made to hold 3.5″ floppies. Guaranteed to also hold $27 in assorted dimes, nickels, and pennies.
